Pac-Man is to take a seat in Congress effective July of 2010 after knocking out the number of votes of his running opponent Roy Chongbian.

House of Congress, it is where our laws are crafted and being reviewed by our Congressional Representatives in order to protect and serve our fellow countrymen. Unlike a boxing match, it’s not about how many punches you have thrown in Congressional debates that will enable you to craft a law that would best serve the Filipino people. Though I like or should I say love Pac-Man as a boxer knowing his ability inside the ring. I can’t imagine Pac-Man being in Congress, knowing his capacity to lead.

As we all know, we Filipinos are very idealistic when it comes to choosing our leaders, we are even born critics at that, thus we want them to be always one of the best for them to gain our respect and support else we shall surely knock them out from their position. But wait, in the case of Manny Pacquiao’s winning, are we realizing the fact that it is we and not Pac-Man who needed the proper education to become knowledgeable enough in choosing our future leaders?

Admittedly, we are always blinded with somebody’s fame and money and so we love to be surrounded with people who have both…thinking that they can probably help us. Sad to say, it is not how the way it is. In fact we are the one whose helping them to gain more fame as we continue to patronize them and once they are famous, we tend to buy the things and proofs of their fame eventually allowing them to earn more money. Filipinos let’s be awake let us not put rotten apples in our own baskets.
